“Obviously, the blowout (trends) was largely my fault. I mean, I’m proud to have done it…but now there’s this middle ground,” Webb said this spring. “There’s a big move right now for air drying, but air drying doesn’t work (for me).
As a fellow crap assistant with wavy hair, I got the products in April and have been testing them ever since. This is how it has disappeared so far.
About the Line
Massy is available in five products: shampoo, conditioner, coarse dry cream, silk spray and overnight hair serum. With the exception of the $34 serum, they were all for $32 and first launched on June 24th at Itsmessy.com and Sephora.
Before we get into the breakdown of the three outstanding (for me) products from the line, I have to say that the scent is one of the best parts as a whole. The herbaceous scent is definitely strong in Musky. It feels like you can skip the perfume when using the line on Washingto Day, but I think it’s so lovely and refined. “You can imagine, fragrances were really important to me,” Webb says. “The driver scent was so well received, so (due to its messiness) I wanted to make something really beautiful and timely for now.”
I asked the brand to send some products to Mia Santiago, a hairstylist I have worked in photography in the past, for her professional ideas, and she called out the scent. “The first thing I do with a new product is to hit the ol’Sniff test. This scent? That’s it,” she says in an email. “Gorgeous, herbal, Oudi perfection. I literally had people stop to ask what perfume I was wearing. “Oh, this is my hair,” until the start of pounding. ”
I’m a dry style cream that’s coarse enough
With a slightly thicker texture than the average holiday conditioner, the styling cream is clearly intended to be a hero of the line. It is used on days when you want to partially blow your hair off. With that in mind, it’s not surprising that I took a few times to figure out how to use it probably.
