It is very sad to share the news that Elana passed away on February 8th, 2024. It is a traumatic and tragic loss for her family, friends, and the entire Elana pantry community.
Elana was a creative beacon, always looking for ways to help people and make the world a better place. She founded two companies, which defines doing well by doing good things.
Ecosav was launched in 1993 and was a leader in helping bring recycling programs to commercial facilities in New York City, reducing waste bills in the process. She was chosen as one of the under 40s in town for work.
Founded in 2006, Elana’s pantry brought simple, healthy gluten-free, grain-free recipes and extensive health and wellness advice to millions of people. She is also the author of three cookbooks, including the New York Times bestsellers, and has many cutting edge products that bring healthy products to people, including Primal Kitchen, Kettle & Fire, Wellness, Magic Spoon, Stability, Serenity Kids, and more.
