I’m not happy with the yellow tone in my office. When recording or live streaming, the light is not very good and the visibility is not good.
Last week I did some work to change that. First, I had to do something about the backdoor area. First, I tried removing the shelf above it.
Also, the double doors on this cabin only needed to be opened on one side, so that door is screwed shut.
To make it look nice, I went to a thrift store and bought two red curtain panels. $2.99.
That’s better!
Still, the light from the Luan plywood reflecting off the walls is still oddly yellow. I decided to use a dramatic stage-style background to emphasize the relationship between the figures and the ground.
I also added light from the front. I’m still working on it. Since the desk is small, the light needs to be well diffused. My softbox is a little small considering the space. It would be cool if the light only shined on me without reflecting off the wall behind me.
That’s today’s project, and it’s also about restocking the bookshelf. You should understand that.
After this I would like to reconnect a good microphone for better audio. I’m waiting for the adapter to arrive in the mail.
This allows you to record more video segments in your office, especially if you’re teaching in-depth content. It also looks great on live streams. It’s not ideal since it’s a small space, but it can definitely be improved.
I also have some sugarcane bagasse that needs to be sown in the food forest today and some sugarcane cuttings to plant, but it’s raining now so that will wait!
Happy Monday.
