Hashimoto's disease (hypothyroidism) is treated naturally through diet

What are the results of a placebo-controlled trial of half-daily powdered black cumin in Hashimoto’s patients?

“Autoimmune thyroiditis, also known as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, is an organ-specific autoimmune disorder.” Our bodies attack thyroidism, which often leads to hypothyroidism due to the destruction of the glands themselves and scarring. We know that identical twins have a genetic component, as they are more likely to share the disease than sibling twins. “However, even the same twins had only about 50% matching rates, which emphasizes that important factors, such as the environment, play a role in the pathogenesis of the disease.” Certainly, even if you are basically your identical twins who have the exact same DNA, or you are suffering from illness, there is nothing more than a coin chance to get it. The genes load the gun, but the environment can pull the trigger.

Over 90 synthetic chemicals were observed to indicate destruction of hormonal balance or thyroid dysfunction. However, such “contaminants show evidence that they contribute to autoimmune thyroid disease.” These include polyaromatic hydrocarbons. Smokers get a lot from cigarettes, but in non-smokers, my video diet for thalamus, at 1:18 on the video diet below, the exposure comes almost entirely from the food.

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are formed primarily when muscle meat such as beef, pork, fish, and chicken is cooked using high-temperature methods such as grilling. PBBS, polybromine biphenols, are a type of flame retardant chemical that is no longer manufactured in the US but still found in the aquatic food chain. PCB, polychlorinated biphenols are used in many industrial processes and, as in my video, here too, through the consumption of eggs and other meat, become the body of people, mainly through the consumption of fish.

Therefore, people who eat plant-based diets may suspect a lower rate of hypothyroidism. In fact, despite low iodine intake, the vegan diet tended to be protective. However, they have never been tested in intervention tests. In Hashimoto’s patients, Paleolithic dietary modifications have been attempted, but they did not appear to improve thyroid function. But it was Nigella Sativa who did that. The name should sound familiar to anyone who has seen my live evidence-based weight loss presentation, how I read my book and how I don’t lose weight. Nigella sativa is the name of black cumin and is a simple spice that is also used for various medication purposes.

In one study, Hashimoto’s patients were given half powder of powdered black cumin for 8 weeks daily in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. Not only did I lose a lot of weight, but that’s why I introduced it in my book, but black cumin also significantly reduced thyroid stimulating hormone, a sign of improved thyroid function. We further reduced the levels of autoimmune antithyroid antibodies in these Hashimoto patients and increased the blood concentration of thyroid hormone T3. Furthermore, there was a significant drop in interleukin-23. This is an inflammatory cell signal that is thought to help promote autoimmune inflammation of the thyroid, and “confirms the plant’s anti-inflammatory properties further.” And what were the side effects? In my video, I had a 17% reduction in “bad” LDL cholesterol at 3:19, as shown below.

Given the fact that Hashimoto’s patients may be at particularly high risk of developing heart disease, this is exactly the kind of side effects we want. “Given these health-enhancing effects of N. sativa (black cumin), it can be seen as a therapeutic approach in the management of Hashimoto-related metabolic abnormalities.”

However, similar exams did not find any benefits. Although the same dose and the same time frame, there are no major changes in thyroid function. However, in contrast to previous studies, all study participants were not Hashimoto’s patients and for some reason were hypothyroidism, which could have diluted results. And telling patients to take black cumin doses with thyroid hormone replacement therapy may have prevented their absorption. This is a similar problem to other foods and drugs, and is why patients are usually told to take it on an empty stomach. There are no downsides, so it’s a simple spice – why not try it? The worst case scenario is eating delicious food.

Doctor’s notes:

I have many questions about thyroid function and I’m happy to be able to run this series. If you missed another video, please refer to the related posts below.
