The messy drawers can feel like a devouring game. Here are some tips on how to organize your bathroom drawers and accessories for simplicity.
When I renovated my house in 2023 and came up with the idea of a major bathroom, I sought “the widest vanity with the most possible drawers.” I love drawers and knew we could store a lot in ours. Although there is no closet in this space (the corner of the shelf), all toiletries, medicines, hair products, toothbrushes, etc. are all housed in these drawers.

Bathroom drawers are one of the messiest spaces in your home. I can understand why. We all feel that we need to have supplies and medicines “just as a precaution.” Most bathrooms don’t have much drawer space to cooperate. While more drawers aren’t the solution for everyone, having the right organizing accessories and systems can dramatically help you keep your space clean and efficient. Here are some tips and organizing ideas to help you get there!

How to organize your bathroom drawers
1. Start with Deep Durater + Clean
When starting a bathroom drawer organization, the first step is to remove everything from the drawer. Once empty, wipe it off with a good vacuum and throw away any expired products, medicines, items you no longer use, or broken items.
2. Use to sort items
Group similar items together before planning to return to the drawer.

3. Planned withdrawals for each category
It is stored according to frequency of use, making it the most accessible items you use every day. Make sure you have the most and easiest access to everyday essentials (toothpaste, deodorizer, skin care). Store less frequently used items (extra razors, travel toiletries) in the drawer below.
4. Invest in withdrawal organizers
The fun part right now! Invest in a drawer specification or small bin to keep items separate. Adjustable or stackable organizers can help maximize space. My favorite organizer is this set of acryrubins. I have them in every drawer! They are non-slip and leave the product sorted. I love that clear doesn’t hide what’s inside.
You don’t have to buy everything! I like to reuse small boxes and mugs for items like cotton swabs and hair tie. These are actually cream and sugar containers!
And this vintage wooden box is the perfect size for dry shampoo 🙂

5. Use vertical space
Such stackable bins can help optimize deep drawers. I also like this split acrylic organizer for a deeper drawer. I store the extra makeup in the drawer below in this style.
You might like the drawers under the sink. I have set this metal drawer for decades and use it to store extra makeup/travel bags. This is the same thing. I also have this stick in the inner bin of the cabinet below which has a make-up eraser that I need to go to the laundry.
6. Labels to make it clear
Use labels in bins or compartments to maintain tissue. This helps families get things back to the right place. One place where you need labels and don’t have them is our medicine! I have them sorted into wire baskets and have a better labeling system.

How to organize if you have little space for drawers
If you don’t have drawers in your bathroom, these storage solutions can help you get creative.
1. Use baskets and bins
Store toiletries and towels with decorative baskets under the sink or on open shelves. Select stackable bins to maximize vertical space.
2. Over the toilet storage
Install over the toilet shelves unit to get extra space. This has a lot of storage! Use a decorative box or basket on the shelf to keep your items organized.
3. Wall mounted shelf
The floating shelf can hold skin care, Q-Tips, tissues and more. Use small storage bins to prevent clutter and remove items from your gaze. These are beautiful.
4. Rolling Cart
The slim, tiered rolling cart stores daily essentials and can be moved when needed. Perfect for small spaces or shared bathrooms. This is very pretty in black and several other colors.
5. Countertop Organizer
