When I first met actor Lili Reinhart in the CW’s Riverdale pilot episode, her blonde hair was tied up in a lively ponytail, like in the comic version of her iconic character Betty Cooper. It changed a lot for Betty during the seven seasons of the series, but nothing happened. (“Dark Betty” doesn’t count, as mentioned when she wore a black bob wig.) After all, Betty Cooper was standard blonde, and Reinhart was pretty loyal to her golden hair too… Anyway.
Reinhart is no longer blonde, as revealed in a cute Instagram post that announced her latest role. She plays biologist Olive Smith and performs in the film adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s highly popular book, The Hypothesis of Love. That means Reinhart had to abandon his blonde for a while. Olive is a brunette on the cover of the book, and Rhinehart’s hair is now in the same shade. Somewhere between caramel and blonde, there’s a light brunette colour with a warm tone. In her selfie, she wears style like an olive that pulls it back into a loose knot so we can see the similarity. Reinhart also wears something that definitely looks like a white lab coat and a simple, shiny soapy nail polish.
