Mindful Racial Healing by Tovi Scruggs-Hussein

Mindful Racial Healing by Tovi Scruggs-Hussein

Welcome to the series on the mindfulness of racial healing by Tovi Scruggs-Hussein, one of the 2021 powerful women of the educator, leader, and mindfulness movement.

As the mindfulness community is at the forefront of helping people develop emotional intelligence, compassion and awareness of both self and others everywhere, this series cultivates cultural humility and healing. We hope it brings opportunities for reflection, learning and vulnerability.

We are all affected by the divisive nature of what defines our sociopolitical environment. This series is an invitation to explore difficult topics with the love and compassion needed for deep systematic change.

Each article includes the following:

Mindfulness-based tools to explore the topics of race and racism. Guided meditation to help you put insight into practice and then bring it to the world. Reflection encourages each article to be accompanied and allows for integration of work. Q&A opportunity. Simply submit your questions to yourwords@mindful.org and you can include them in future Q&A articles with Tovi’s responses.
