Snippets from recent life!
Hey hey!
The beginning and end of the school year is always a fuss for me. (Even the beginning of the holiday season and the beginning of the New Year!) I spend my time traveling in the summer, preparing for the unpredictable days when the boys will leave school in two weeks. They do some summer camps, but we travel most of June (Europe and bald heads!). And we are home and repeatedly “out of school for the summer of school.”
Mother’s Day
How it started:
A very happy waffle breakfast with Thomas’ parents and Aunt Leighton!
Thank you to Thomas and his dad for making delicious waffles and treating all the ladies for breakfast.
I got some sweet cards from the boy (“Mom, I love Kudol and Snugel with you, I love Burch”) and a pedicure gift certificate!
I was able to spend a day playing in the women’s soccer league.
And this is how MD is finished and the best way! He fell asleep like this.
Layton lets the dog loan visit. Gus wasn’t as happy as seeing here, but they were well-behaved! He releases a vibrator “I’m too old for this puppy’s energy.” The loan is very sweet and playful!
Thomas also cooked BBQ chicken with special breaded freshly baked potato slices and asparagus for dinner!
Hungry Island
Last weekend’s events also included the release of a book by my creative friend Sean Cameron Dalton!
Asle of Hunger is Sean’s debut novel! I describe it as an “island thriller.” It’s beautifully written and a bit of “what’s going on” page turner! If you’re a fan of dark stories, consider ordering a copy!

Sean held a book launch party last Saturday, giving out signed pre-copies to many of his friends and family. He provided island punches, ramfudges and pirate booty! This book also has a musical score like a film, so you can feel the atmosphere as if you were reading it. It will be released immediately wherever you stream music!

Games + Art
All the island stories made me feel like I wanted to do his wooden puzzles again! This is the most satisfying type of puzzle!
I also spontaneously bought this explosive kitten. I can’t wait to play!
And we went to see Chicago at Monticello High School. The show was amazing!!! Shrek is planning on watching the musical this weekend.
The end of the season
This little man is enveloping kindergarten! He won the Confidence Award this year for his class that came out of his shell. We are so proud! We are also very proud that our sixth graders had a great year and overall good. He’s already progressing to 13°C, so he’s not interested in the photos anymore
Parents were invited at school on the day of writing:
My careful child is slowly learning more wheels. He’s getting better on scooters and is beginning to practice bikes. We have an old balance bike, but Thomas is considering getting one that fits his size.
Both boys are still nuts for Lego. This was a gift from my cousin Michael! They both look to Harry Potter themed LEGOs this summer. Magen is reading book 5!
Oliva
I love the lineup of Olivea products! I had a friend who was interested in signing up and she tried everything (if you’re a local and want to feel and smell, you can reach out to me!).
I was also calling about Beautycounter returning to a clean beauty space. The new company is called Counter (Beauty) and features many bestsellers and favorites, but also has a very different vibe. I plan to partner with them again, so when I know more I’ll share more.
