Hey hey guys, I hope everything is going well.
Sorry, it’s been a while since my last post, but my work has become incredibly busy and I accidentally had to take a break from my blog! But now I’ve returned to my normal busy pace so I can go back to doing things to love again and there are some exciting posts!
To get things started, I checked in for healthy hair and went to a new salon! I love the usual salon, but it’s far from me, but the parking is too expensive and I spend too much time! I decided to go to an SNM hair salon just a few minutes away from me. I’ve heard about this salon and followed them for a while, so it wasn’t completely new to me. When the new clip INS arrives, I decided to use the clips from the installation to reserve a wash, treatment and blow dry!
I simply did something late as the salon is very close to me. It was a huge plus, and after 5 years old, the parking was free – another big win for me! After a few minutes of waiting, I was asked about what style I wanted for the clip-in. I then came to the conclusion that I would need to book a Silk Press package rather than a Broad Dry. I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted to complete my clip, but I understood. I couldn’t agree on the appropriate day and time, so I decided to proceed with the service without clip INS.
In a shampoo bowl, the woman said she was touching my hair was dry. My salon appointment was Thursday and I was washing my hair on Monday, but I used more reinforced conditioner and K18 (I have a lot of thoughts but I use it a few more times before sharing). Anyway, she started washing my hair three times. After washing, she said my hair was quietly dry and while I booked the moisture treatment, I would benefit from the extra steam treatment of 5 pounds, and I agreed. After applying the treatment, I went under the steamer for about 20 minutes. I have never had steam hair treatment before and my hair felt incredibly incredible, but it was a really warm day so I was so hot there hahaha
My hair was removed again before it was rinsed too much and we continued to blow in the section. I was familiar with the two Keracare products she used before blowing away and finished the service with two knittings.
Service thoughts
I arrived very early for an appointment, but it didn’t take long for us to start discussing my service and the lady really tried to find me again, but we just couldn’t find the right time. The clips in use were cancelled immediately and I removed my final invoice, which I liked. I loved how my hair was removed during the shampooing process. She massaged my scalp to make sure it was clean and shampooed three times to ensure that the buildup was removed effectively. I wish my hair was squeezed out more after she applied the treatment, but my hair wasn’t too tangled anyway as I had just washed it and blown it off three days ago. She detangled in a small section.
After the steam treatment I had to wait about 10-15 minutes to be seen. This is not so unusual as I had to have in between service at the usual salon, but I was in another room and there was only one other customer in the next room, along with all the staff, so it was a bit forgotten here. The other staff who rinsed and blown away the conditioner looked younger in my hair, but I think she did a good job. She used Kerakare’s vacation with conditioner and Silkenseal liquid before the blow dries. These two products contain thermal protection, but you’ll also prefer a dedicated thermal protection agent. She was blown away in a larger section using the tension method, but then went to a smaller section with a paddle brush. Again, I would have preferred to use tension before using the paddle brush to fully grow the hair in smaller sections as thin 4C hair is prone to breaking. The blow dries were great, so I’m not too bothered by this. She stated that my purpose was a bit of a bit, because my last trim (last month) didn’t catch all my split ends completely, but that’s not thinking about it, but said it was the way she stretched my hair before going in with the paddle brush. My last trim was a pretty haircut as I ignored my trim routine (more on this in a further detail in another post later!).
I didn’t thank her for making personal calls with the other staff while she did my hair, but I thought it wasn’t professional so I’ll leave this to her younger.
verdict
Would you like to go to the SNM salon again? Yes, it was much closer to me and the service wasn’t particularly bad. I love shampoo, I love blow drying and after the steam treatment my hair felt incredible. We are debating whether we’ll return there for Silk Press or something. But when you don’t want to do hair, you definitely go back there, get treatment, blow it away.
This year, I’d like to try other salons, especially if they’re close to me. Maison Style is always something I go to, but I think it’s time to start experimenting again.
My service: Wash, Broadley, Intensive Steam Moisture Treatment has come to £65, which I normally pay. It’ll cost £60 without an additional £5 for intensive moisture treatment. It was very easy to book online from their website. The salon is in Croydon.
There are a few posts! I’ll catch you later
