Apple + Cinnamon + Sweet GL – What do you not like? !

Step-by-step process for making apple scones: mixing ingredients, forming dough, baking in an air fryer, drizzling icing, and baked scones are shown with apple fragments inside.

Materials to gather

Dipped Apple: Where are my clear fans of honey? ! I love the crisp apple flavor and crisp texture of honey, but you do you and choose the variety of apples you choose. 2% Blend Cottage Cheese: Thick fat cottage cheese works in this recipe. I would recommend at least 2%, but I tested this at 4% and it worked. Low-fat cottage cheese has a high amount of moisture, which means that it increases the amount of flour to form in the dough. Brown Sugar: Throw diced apples with brown sugar. Ground Cinnamon: Same as cinnamon! It perfectly complements the autumn apple and brown sugar flavours. Unsweetened Almond Milk: This is my favorite liquid over these fritters. Technically, any milk works, but I prefer the mild flavor of plain unsweetened almond milk.

My way to make an air fryer apple fritter

Apple Preparation: Add diced apples, brown sugar and cinnamon to the bowl and throw them to coat the apple pieces. Prepare the dough: Add the dry ingredients to a bowl along with the apples and mix to mix. Next, add the blended cottage cheese and stir until the bowl begins to form. Next, use your hands to knead the dough into a bowl. Lightly pour flour over the work surface and cut the dough into 4 pieces. Place two apple fritters on parchment and press down into the traditional fritter shape (round or rectangular). Air Fritter: Fritters and flip them brown in the middle. Make a gl drug: Add powdered sugar and almond milk to a bowl, whisk and mix. that’s it! Have fun with GL drugs! Soak the fritter in the glaze. Set them on a wire rack and set the glaze for a few minutes before serving!

Perfect sweet snack

I love making these apple fritters with my kids in the morning. Something about sitting on the porch on a cool autumn morning and enjoying one of these delicious snacks with coffee while the kids play.

These apple fritters can also be an after-school snack or a sweet treat after dinner. You can’t really get the ingredients list wrong here, so choose your own adventures about when and where to serve.

If there are leftovers

If you have any remaining apple fritters, place them in a ventilation bag at the counter to allow them to cool completely before storing. As the apple continues to soften over time, moisture can penetrate and store in an airtight container can cause the fritters to get soaked. It helps to vent it helps to prevent this.

Easier Air Fryer Recipes

There are pastries sprinkled with four apples with gl drugs on a cooling rack surrounded by apple, cinnamon and apple slices.

Why did my apple fritters get soaked?

This could be happening for a number of reasons! If you make your Apple Fritters too crowded with the Air Fryer, they actually steam them instead of air frying. Make sure your fritters are not touching with the air fryer.

Another reason this is happening is that they didn’t allow leftovers to cool before storing them. To prevent the moisture in the apple from creating a soaking texture, it is recommended to vent the bag or container where you want to store leftovers. You can also serve to surprise the remaining fritters again before airing for a minute or two.

How do you prevent the air fryer apple fritter from sticking to the basket?

It is recommended to cook these apple fritters with air fryer parchment. Not only does it prevent them from sticking to the basket, it also prevents lines from moving into the fritters from the air fryer grate.

Can I make these gluten-free?

I haven’t tested these apple fritters with GF powder, but my go-to is always Bob’s Red Mill 1:1. If you want to test swap this ingredient, please let me know how to proceed in the comments! ❤❤️

Preheat the 375 air fryer.

Add diced apples, brown sugar and cinnamon to the bowl. Throw it to coat the apple part.

Next, add flour, baking powder and salt to the bowl. Mix and stir.

Add the blended cottage cheese and stir using a wooden spoon or silicone spatula. Once the bowls begin to form, use your hands to knead the dough into the bowl.

Lightly apply flour to the work surface and wipe off the dough. Cut into 4 pieces.

Place two apple fritters on parchment and press down into the traditional fritter shape (circle).

Air fry at 375℉ for 4 minutes. Fry the flips and air fries for another 4 minutes. Continue until all the dough is cooked.

Make glaze while the fritter is air fried. Add the powdered sugar and almond milk to a bowl and whisk to mix.

When the fritters are ready, soak them in the glaze and place them on a wire cooling rack.

It will take a few minutes for the glaze to be set before serving.

The amount of flour required for the kneading and splitting sections of this recipe depends on how well the cottage cheese is blended. If you need more flour, add 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough is no longer sticky. Milk can be used with glaze drugs. I like to cook these fritters with parchment to eliminate lines coming from the rack of air fryer.
