Paint | This may be a good time to take care of outdoor maintenance projects that require painting. For us, August is often the last month when we can make sure that the paint needs temperatures within the range necessary for proper adhesion.

Please observe and enjoy
You may not know it by the name of phenology, but you certainly know what it is. Phenology is the science of observing the first annual event in nature. When the flower buds open. When Peeper first peeps. When bees appear. When the relocation arrives. When the light bulb pops up. The list is endless.
Seasonal changes stimulate natural responses in the kingdom of plants and animals. It is interesting to note these events and compare them year by year.
I like to pay attention to my observations on my phone calendar. It’s fun to compare the changes every year from season to season.

It is important to start the seeds of your autumn vegetable garden while it is warm enough to germinate.

Happy August.
