Basket Arbor, the containers at Pam Beesley’s Memphis Garden are plentiful

Basket Arbor, the containers at Pam Beesley's Memphis Garden are plentiful

Even a clever gardener can enjoy a bit of basket case fun. Pam Beasley of Memphis has transformed the arbor into a crafted basket cascade. (The Terracotta Pot Arbor at Antique Rose Emporium is another.) It was a memorable moment on the Memphis Fling tour in June, especially under the towering pink flower creepy lattle.

Tisket, Tasket, she meets several baskets.

In the cutting garden, which Pam describes as the centre of her garden, a rustic arbor presents “Manor Woods Garden” with a wire letter, a homage to her streets. Pam supplies flowers to provide arrangements all year round, with the help of winter tunnel covers to extend the growing season.

HoneySuckle climbs another arbor and offers a sweet fragrance to passersby.

Painted furniture and enthusiastic flowers give the atmosphere of a cottage garden.

Pam expanded her colorful gardens into a paved area, the edge of the driveway, as I remember.

A table nearby had a tray of glasses for snacks.

It was all very welcoming, like the quiet corner corner with fire pits surrounded by hydrangeas and other shade enthusiasts…

…Like Japanese maple with leaves in this lace, in a blue pot…

…and a shining phyllodendron.

In her garage workspace, muted vignettes of lamps and garden ornaments share space with tools and small terracotta pots.

Nested pots, looks full of nested ingredients

It was a garage that gardeners might long for, especially me. In my own garage, I never use garden equipment and remaining painted cans, but I never use old camping equipment (why?), dusty aquariums (why??), diffret soccer and volleyball (why???), tennis rackets again. I feel the purge comes out – as soon as it cools down outside. You’re not in a hurry while you’re out of 100F, right?
