Mystical feminist Miraby Star shares years of researching, excavating and elevating the voices of women in a global spiritual tradition.
This lecture was recorded on September 22, 2020 as part of the Virtual Lambdas Fellowship. In this week’s BHNN guest podcast, Mirabeister discusses: Invitation to our preconceived invitations allows us to defeat the patriarchal roots of spiritual traditions and religious institutions. For the true purpose of practicing meditation through the creativity of the female mind space that unites our higher self with our true purpose, the need for a community in which transformation occurs is to trust our journey to spiritual awakening and balance our surrender to the process of mitigating active, contemplative energy as a sacred female archetype who remembers that we all remember the energies of both the Mirabai star and the massive.
Miraby Starr is an award-winning author of creative non-fiction and contemporary translations of sacred literature. She teaches philosophy and world religions at the University of New Mexico for 20 years, and now she teaches and speaks internationally about meditative practice and spiritual dialogue. Mirabai, a certified bereavement counselor, helps consumers leverage the transformational power of loss. Check out her many books and find out more at mirabaistarr.com.
“It’s a place of mystery, and at least the feminine mind is scary to live in the mind. It’s a place where there is a great tolerance for ambiguity. The masculine paradigm is a condition that we believe is a problem to be solved. Contradictory propositions.” – Miraby Starr
