My egg rolls in the bowl recipe are not only lively, but they are packed with all the flavors I like in traditional egg rolls, but are broken down into bowls and served. I used a lot of vegetables such as cabbage and carrots in a simple sauce and a thinly ground turkey.
Bowl egg roll = broken egg roll!
Whether you’re looking for a low-carb dinner idea or looking for a healthier egg roll without deep fried foods, this egg roll from the bowl recipe is for you! It’s a good foodie to find readers’ favorite recipes and know you’ll love it, so I’m so glad you stumble over it.
I personally love this recipe. Because it’s an easy way to get around 30g of protein and tons of vegetables. You can serve it as is or on rice! I recently made this recipe again and replaced all the vegetables for a simple bag of coleslaw and it was very good.
Egg rolls for bowl ingredients
sauce
Soy Sauce: The basics of the sauce are made up of soy sauce. Feel free to replace the tamari to get a similar flavour. Chili Garlic Sauce: Chili Garlic Sauce adds heat to this sauce. If you can’t find/do not have it, feel free to use Sriracha or Chili Crunch. Honey: Honey really balances the spicy, acidic taste balance of this recipe. It’s an option, but we love it. Rice vinegar: Rice vinegar is mild and very tasty. Sesame seeds: Sesame seeds add just the right hints of sesame flavor. Olive Oil: I use olive oil to cook turkey ground to prevent sticking, but coconut oil and avocado oil also worked.
vegetables
Shredded Carrots: Feel free to buy shredded carrots or shred them yourself. Shredded Green Cabbage: Green cabbage is the most classic ingredient in egg rolls, so don’t skip it! Red Onion: We are onion people. Any color works. Sliced Pea Pods: Sliced Pea Pods actually go raw and create a great texture.
PS: You can always buy classic coleslaw mix, not all of the vegetables listed above.
Meat and eggs
Eggs: Eggs are a great extra protein addition and also provide excellent texture. Ground Türkiye: We use ground turkey in this recipe, but it works perfectly with chicken, pork and ground beef too!

How to make eggs in a bowl
These decomposed egg rolls can also be easily whipped and reheated, making them the perfect option for a week’s crowd or meal preparation. Let’s go through it:
Place all ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl and whisk together until all ingredients are combined. Then, set the sauce aside later.
Next, heat a large skillet over medium/high heat and add olive oil. Once the olive oil has a better aroma, grind the turkey and cook it, until the turkey is pink, so that it will crush the turkey while it is cooked.

Please give it a try!
Always bread
The bread is always our favorite bread to saute, steam, fry and simmer. It’s a non-stick pot that we highly recommend.
Next, slice finely carrots, finely cabbage and red onions, add sauce to the pan and mix everything together. For now, keep the pea pods away from the pot! You will fry them a little. Cook everything on medium for 3-5 minutes and stir every minute.

Push the meat and vegetables into the side of the pot, and crack the two eggs into the empty side of the pot. Scramble eggs while cooking using a spatula. Once the eggs are fully cooked, fold them into meat and vegetables and mix everything thoroughly.
Finally, add the pea pods to the pan and let them cook for 1 minute with all the other ingredients. Wait now to add a pea pod to avoid getting mushy during the sauteing process!
Serve and have fun!
Remove the pot from the heat and top with optional sesame seeds, green onions and coriander! Serve in a bowl with one of the delicious, nutritious pairings below.

Bowl Recipe Pairing Egg Rolls
This recipe is delicious as a standalone, but if you want to serve it as a side dish or in a bowl with quinoa or rice, I highly recommend one of the following:
Do you have any leftovers? Transfer the leftovers to an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Place all ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl and whisk together until all ingredients are combined. Later, set the sauce aside.
Next, heat a large frying pan over medium/high heat and add olive oil.
When the olive oil is fragrant, add ground turkey and cook until the turkey is no longer pink.
Next, add finely to the pot and mix the carrots, cabbage, red onion and sauce. Cook everything for 3-5 minutes. Mix every minute.
Push the meat and vegetables into the side of the pot, and the eggs break into the empty side of the pot. Scramble eggs while cooking using a spatula.
Once the eggs are fully cooked, fold them into meat and vegetables.
Finally, add the pea pods to the bread and let them cook for 1 minute with all the other ingredients (you don’t want to make them mushy).
Remove the pot from the heat and top with optional sesame seeds, green onions and coriander!
