Traditional taco carbs

Tacos on Tuesdays, but when following the ketogenerating lifestyle, you might want to skip the traditional tacos with flour tortillas.

The flour tortilla with ground beef mixture and cheese comes with around 51 grams of carbohydrates, according to the app’s Cronometer. It eats more in a day than many people on the keto diet!

The best way to still enjoy the taste of that taco is to get creative with what puts all of that taco goodness. Rather than using tortilla chips or shells, we scoop the inside of our garden tomatoes, enjoying a fun twist on tradition and far less carbs.

For me, the interior of the taco is the best part and a delicious topping. I didn’t like the regular taco shells made from flour or corn.

However, if you’re on a keto or low-carb diet and the regular taco carb count exceeds your personal macro, instead make a simple taco mato recipe with a total of 4 grams of carbs per tomato.

Our taco meat mixture is more protein than traditional tacos with eggs added. This is a great brunch idea! If you’re not an egg fan, you can remove them and enjoy taco meat without it, but it adds more protein.

This new recipe is for Mother’s Day brunch and I, along with other wonderful mum bloggers, brought Mother’s Day wisdom to you.

I’m not an expert on this subject at least because it’s difficult to find a balance! I at least have not been organized and fail miserably in this field. I want to tell you that I have it all together and while I am willing to balance my family duties with my food blog business, sadly this is not the case.

What I’ve learned over the years I’ve raised my kids, worked outside the house and now working at home remains the same, my kids want my time. I focus on them, listen to them, play games with them, make snacks together, read together, watch movies, whatever they like my time.

So, as I ponder how to convey some wisdom to you about how to balance motherhood, I often find it not the time, but the quality of time with my children, which they most appreciate and most want.

We are very busy with so many chores and activities, volunteer work and daily life, and efforts to sit and slow down to keep the family running smoothly is rare.

It’s important to make time for your children, and it’s equally important to make time for yourself. I make time for myself by standing up and exercising in the cracks of dawn, as I feel better, I feel better, and just make me happy. When I don’t make time for myself, I find myself feeling frustrated and annoyed with my family.

Baked or fresh tomatoes

My husband is not a fan of really warm cooked tomatoes, so he would have preferred not to bake. If you prefer something crispy and fresh, you can skip baking the tomatoes and quickly scoop the taco meat!

I love how warm and soft they are when their natural sweetness comes! This is probably not my child’s choice, but my husband and I loved it!

I love recipes that are perfect for picky kids, so use scrambled eggs and fill out the tortilla wrap with your favorite toppings using this stuffing on your regular taco shell or breakfast burrito!

On this upcoming Mother’s Day, I try to focus on the present and precious moments where I am enjoying my family, rather than focusing on everything I have not reached my to-do list.

The health of my healthy children, loving husbands and my parents is on my appreciation list. I also enjoy having healthy food options on Mother’s Day. I don’t want to hurt my body with unhealthy choices. This recipe I share today is what I want for a healthy brunch recipe!

Can I exchange tomatoes?

I love fresh summer tomatoes, but if you don’t like tomatoes, this low-carb taco meat recipe can be stuffed into zucchini, or peppers.

If you are looking for a low-carb option for your taco shell, use a cheese taco shell or lettuce as your shell. There are also keto nut-free tortillas that can be used, and some made with almond flour.

Can I exchange ground turkeys?

Yes, if you want to trade turkey for ground chicken or ground beef, the recipes will taste just as well. I use ground turkey to maintain a medium fat intake with lean protein for middle-aged macromethod programs.
