Essential oil perfumes allow you to enjoy the scent of natural plants without any nasty potential toxins. Plus, it takes a few minutes to put together these clean rollerball recipes.
Roller bottles are popular in aromatherapy as a way to apply the benefits of individual doses of herbs to a variety of different moods and illnesses. Roller bottles can also make beautiful perfume bottles.
By replacing the lab-created scent with naturally-occurring essential oils, you will not only smell good, but feel pretty amazing.
Today we’ll share some tips on how to create your own custom fragrances and basic recipes to use for all plant flavors.
I’ll cover this post…

How to Create the Perfect Essential Oil Perfume Blend
Essential oil blends are a skill to practice. To get started, take some of the scents that are usually drawn and hold an open bottle in your nose. Smoking the scent combination will help you learn what you like and what you want to give you a pass.
Understanding fragrance notes
The fragrance characteristics of essential oils are classified as “memos.” Specifically, top notes, middle notes, and base notes. When you create essential oil perfume recipes, here are a few tips on each one.
The top notes are light, fresh, act quickly, and tend to evaporate very quickly. This is usually the first scent that smells in the blend. The central notes help balance the blend. You may not smell the centre sound immediately, but a soft scent may become apparent in a few minutes. The base note is very strong and heavy, grounding long-term diffusion and blending. Blend different notes to complicate and appeal the end result to balance the creations of your perfume.
Some examples are:
Top notes: bergamot, lemongrass, grapefruit, orange, geranium, peppermint, eucalyptus. Central notes: lavender, rose, mandarin orange, cypress, cinnamon bark. Base notes: patchouli, cedarwood, sandalwood, frankincense, ginger.

Try essential oil perfume recipes
There is a world of fragrances that can be created with essential oils. There are several combinations to get started:
There are also posts dedicated to my go-to blends, romantic and fresh blends.
Carrier oil
Carrier oils are oils used to suspend and supply essential oils. They are the bases that add essential oils and are properly diluted before applying to the skin to prevent irritation. A good choice of carrier oils is to make the essential oils a star, so it’s a light oil with no strong scent.
My favorites are split coconut oil, grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil, or jojoba oil to make essential oils.

Great flowers for long lasting colors
Part of the fun of this recipe is to add a colorful pop of plants. Unfortunately, not all of the beautiful flowers in your garden retain their colour well when they are submerged in oil.
You can test available flower petals and leaves, or use some of these proven varieties.
Blue and Purple – Centrair (Bachelor’s Button) Petals Pink Dry Penies Petals Yellow Sunflower Petals Orange – Calendar Petals
Note: Lavender and rose flowers are obvious choices if they retain their colour well. Unfortunately, both quickly turn brown in oil applications and don’t look very attractive. Therefore, we do not recommend this type of vial.

How to make essential oil perfumes
The fun part right now! Here’s how to make a unique essential oil perfume in just a few minutes:
Materials and materials
Make one 10ml aromatherapy perfume
make!
Spend time blending essential oils and coming up with a scent that suits you. Collect fresh or dried petals and leaves for use in the bottle. Remove the lid and rollerball to prepare the roller bottle.

Fill the perfume bottle with carrier oil. If you don’t want to color your perfume bottle, choose split coconut oil. Other oils will be in different shades of mber and green (grapeseed oil is shown here).

Add 10 drops of essential oils per 10 ml bottle. With the strongest scented oil, start with just one drop and move up if it’s not strong enough. There are several aromas, such as lemongrass and cinnamon, and it is very strong so you can take over the entire blend.
Decorate the bottle by combining fresh and dried flowers, leaves or petals with oil.

Pop the rollerball lid into the glass vial. Shake well and combine the oil.
Leave the blend for 24-48 hours for development. When the oil works together, the scent changes. You might be surprised at how different it is!

Give it!
Package 4 different scent collections in a craft paper jewelry box. Using a Washi Tape with a message (I used what I said “with love”) to create a band on the lid of the box.

that’s it! Whether you hold it (or both) or give a gift, essential oil perfumes are easy to make and will make you feel great (and smell!) all day long.

DIY essential oil perfume
Learn how to use plants and oils to create custom essential oil perfume blends. This DIY is also a great gift!
Remove the rollerball lid.
Fill the roller bottle with carrier oil.
Add up to 10 drops of essential oils per bottle. A strong cinnamon-like scent is strong, so you only need a drop or two.
Add fresh or dried plants for some colour and additional aroma.
Put the rollerball lid back in and shake well to combine.
Apply and enjoy!
