Hello everyone, I hope all is well! After a rocky start to the summer (as always), I hope things go smoothly from here on out. I think summer is the time when most people use sunscreen below their shoulders (lol). So today I’m going to review one of my favorite body SPFs.
Boots and Superdrug have lots of affordable sunscreen options. This seems to be an area in which drugstores are very good. The availability of non-whitening sunscreens for dark skin has almost doubled in the past few years, so you’re sure to find the one that’s right for you.
Garnier Ideal Suncream Milk in Spray SPF 50 is a light milk that feels amazing on the skin and smells amazing. The scent is tropical, reminds me of coconut, and hides the sunscreen scent well. The scent lingers all day long. The scent of the sunscreen is not as strong as other sunscreens I have used in the past.
Is it not visible on the skin? Yes, this absorbs into the skin quickly and easily and leaves no cast residue. I noticed that my skin looked bronzed, but this is due to the vitamin melanin formulation. SPF does not contain pigments, but it does help you get an even tan. I used this SPF when I vacationed in Antigua in April and I didn’t get any sunburn (I’ve never gotten a sunburn and I’d like to keep it this way). Good at layering. There is no sticky feeling, and the skin does not feel heavy or greasy. This is especially important when reapplying, especially when it’s hot. It can be washed off thoroughly. You have to wash it twice to make sure it comes off, but that’s a good thing. You don’t want an SPF that comes off easily. Although it is worn in the photo, there are no signs of the cast anywhere.

verdict
I won’t lie. I was very skeptical when I first received this from Garnier last year or the year before, but after the first use I have repurchased it twice and am currently on my third bottle. This has become my favorite body SPF and I recommend it to everyone. It comes in SPF 30 and 50, but I always stick to the latter. There is also an aerosol mist, which I use as well, and will review soon.
At £7 it’s very affordable and effective, so there’s no reason not to give it a try. Available from Boots
Catch me later! Be sure to wear sunscreen
