How to feel better when you’re not feeling well

How to feel better when you're not feeling well

If you’ve been waking up feeling anxious lately, you’re not alone. Between news cycles, global uncertainty, and the disruption of daily life, it can sometimes feel like the world is spinning faster than we can breathe.

I myself have been feeling more anxious than usual lately. Partly because of everything going on in our lives, and partly because we feel that so much of the world is beyond our control. But even in times like these, it is possible to find a sense of peace. It means creating a little pocket of peace within yourself that doesn’t get easily upset by what’s happening outside.

That’s what psychotherapist, author, and mindfulness teacher Nancy Collier will help you explore in an upcoming online workshop hosted by the Omega Institute, How to Feel Well When You’re Sick.

When I lived in New York, I always wanted to join Omega’s program. It felt like a sanctuary from the noise, a place for people looking to live less stressed and more present. I moved away before I had the chance to go, but I’ve admired them ever since and am so grateful to now be able to partner with them and share an event like this.

Omega has a long history of offering programs that not only inspire you in the moment, but also provide real tools you can use to grow and find balance in your daily life. Their workshops bring together wisdom, mindfulness, and compassion in ways that help people feel calmer, clearer, and more connected to themselves.

In this 75-minute live online session, Nancy guides participants through a combination of meditation, group reflection, and Q&A. All of these are designed to help you:

When the world feels chaotic, reduce stress and take care of yourself

Don’t get lost in your thoughts, work on your thoughts

Let go of the destructive and come back to the present moment

Use your body to keep your feet on the ground and steady.

Cultivate gratitude even in dark and uncertain times

We cannot control everything that happens around us, but we can learn to meet each moment with presence, compassion, and resilience.

If you’re looking to pause, reset, or simply remember that peace is still possible, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with yourself and rediscover your inner stability.
