How to tell if you're ready to choose a watermelon

Yesterday I posted a short video of the vertex showing how to tell when watermelons are ready to choose.

In the past, I have chosen a significant share of ripe and ripe melons.

There’s no more!

Now we choose watermelons consistently and at the right time in these simple ways.

To discover whether watermelon is ripe:

1. Check the tendril closest to the watermelon. If it’s all depleted, it’s a very good indicator of ripeness.

2. I’ll hit it. Some say they can sound out whether the melon is ready, but they can’t. But anyway, I’ll do that and skip to number 3.

3. Many watermelons have pale spots at the bottom, and when ripe, they at least become watery yellow shades.

4. Finally – How long has it been since you planted melons? Knowing the variety and looking at the seed packets, they know that they should be within the right range to harvest. If it’s earlier than expected, the melon may not be ready.

But if it has dried tendrils and yellow spots and you look clever to slap it, then you should have ripe melons. The melons can ripen early due to stress and damage.

Hopefully it will help you discover watermelons when you are ready to choose.
