Makeup artist Ivan Nunez kept the ’80s vibe perfectly with Doja’s glamour, carving the lid in soft shadows, defining it with sharp cat eyeliner, brushing a hot magenta pink blush on her cheeks and brushing it towards the temple. Doja recently told V Magazine that her upcoming album Vie was inspired by the marginal space and nostalgic feelings of the ’80s, but it would sound more synth-pop than Lita Ford-style hair metal. “I wanted to play with that nostalgia using these LO-FI sounds and samples, and something that reminds you of something from your childhood, but that wasn’t in the nose of the ’80s,” she said. She also led the aesthetics of the 80s while teasing Vie’s first single, “Jere Type,” with Frosty Blue Eye Shados and Mall Bangs.
