I'm talking about native plant design on a growing green podcast

September 10, 2025

I’m appearing on a growing eco-friendly podcast this week! I’m talking to my host Tom Christopher about using native plants in formal or traditional designs. It inspires my new book, the Texas Gardens of Texas and the Texas Gardens of Austin’s own Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. I would appreciate your listening. I’d like to thank Tom for welcoming me to the show!

I’ll be in San Angelo this Saturday

Also, let me remind you that today is the last day you sign up for the Autumn Landscaping Symposium in San Angelo. Here we will be giving a lecture at a one-day educational event this Saturday. My talk is called “Lawn Gone: A Garden of Eight Great Ideas” and is explained in a photograph of a garden in Texas. The book hasn’t been released yet, so I’ll take a sneak peek! (This book will be released on October 14th.) After the lecture, I will be selling other books, a signed copy of Lawn Gone! And then there’s a savings garden.
