About Dr. Alan W. Anderson:
Dr. Alan Anderson was a poet, author, professor emeritus, beloved teacher, scholar of the neurological tradition and a talented religious linguist. He helped establish the Faculty of Religion at San Diego State University in 1969. Dr. Anderson became chairman of that department, specializing in Eastern religions, until his retirement in 1985.
