This is my simple lemon dill salmon marinated. It’s very fresh and delicious. It’s my go-to marinade for salmon – I make it with fresh lemon, garlic and dill. You don’t want to eat salmon in any other way!

Salmon absorbs marinade very well. So it literally absorbs every flavor you marinate. By marinating the salmon fillets with this combination of citrus, herbs and oils, you seriously infuse it with a lot of flavor, so it’s absolutely delicious with every bite.
You can use half salmon fillets (as shown in the photo), or you can use small, small salmon fillets that are pre-existed.

This marinade is bright and lemony. It requires simple and fresh ingredients. This is what you need:
Olive Oil: Olive Oil is the base for this marinade. It combines all the ingredients and helps the marinade cling to the salmon. Lemon Juice: The brightness of this marinade comes from lemon juice! Fresh lemon juice is always a good idea for fish. Mustard: Adding a little mustard to your marinade is no mistake. It offers a flavourful flavour and vinegar heat. Garlic: Fresh garlic with smash and minced. Great addition to sauces, marinades and dressings. Honey: The honey adds a little sweetness and balances the lemon juice and dill. Feel free to replace your maple syrup swap. Salt: Don’t skip salt! Salt brings out the flavor of all these ingredients. Fresh dill: Fresh dill is the money element of this marinade. When I say fresh dill, I’m fresh! When it comes to flavor, there’s a real difference compared to dryness.
How to marinate salmon (3 steps)
This recipe is super easy and ready in under 5 minutes!
Combine: Combine all ingredients in a bowl or jar and mix. Marine: Place large salmon fillets or 4-6 small salmon fillets in a dish or a large gallon-sized bag and pour into the marinade. Make sure all sides are coated wonderfully. Cold: Marinate the salmon in the fridge for 30-45 minutes.

How much salmon should I marinate?
Marinate the salmon fillets for about 30-45 minutes.
This marinade can be prepared a few days in advance and used as a marinade of salmon throughout the week. Add all ingredients to a mason jar and store in a shake, cover and fridge for up to 5 days.
Bonus: This salmon marinade is actually a delicious vinaigrette too! If you have any leftovers, throw them in the green and enjoy.
According to FoodSafety.gov, salmon (fish with fins) should be cooked to 145ºF for safe consumption. This is our number one tip when cooking salmon, my friends.
Measure the internal temperature at the thickest part of the salmon fillet. Must be at least 145ºF before eating.

Combine all the ingredients in this salmon marinade (except salmon) in a medium bowl and whisk and mix.
Pour the marinade into the bottom of the baking sheet, a large casserole dish, or a gallon-sized plastic bag, and place the salmon fillet crust into the marinade and cover.
Marinate the salmon in the fridge for at least 30-45 minutes. Try not to marinate anymore or risk citrus fruits that will activate the cooking process.
