L’Oréal partners with the Louvre for first-ever beauty-inspired guided tour

In times of personal and societal turmoil, we can all unite around one thing: the need for the arts. When the pressures of 21st century life feel too much, appreciating and engaging with art and beauty is one of the most cathartic ways to ground yourself in the human experience. When it comes to art, the iconic Louvre is a sacred place of sorts, displaying some of the most innovative works of art throughout human history.

Beauty and art go hand in hand, and while it may seem shocking at first, the Louvre’s latest partnership with cosmetics giant L’Oréal Group is not only timely, but appropriate. Just today, the Louvre announced the launch of its latest journey through art: “De toutes beautés!” “Rituals, objects and expressions of beauty: a journey of discovery in the galleries of the Louvre” was made possible through a partnership with the L’Oréal Group.

De Toutes Beautés: An immersive exploration of beauty through art, space and time

“De Toutes Beautés” means “of all beauties” and perfectly sums up the meaning of the groundbreaking partnership between the Louvre and L’Oréal. Starting tomorrow, November 13, all visitors to the Louvre will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the “De Toute Beauté”, which traces more than 100,000 years of artistic history and sees and interacts with a selection of works. You can get it. These works represent aesthetic practices, rituals, and canonized visions throughout history. The tour also comes with a virtual component, through which participants can access a specially designed app that complements existing signage throughout the tour.

“At the heart of our purpose to “Create Beauty That Moves the World” is our desire to make beauty available to everyone and to tell the story of its diverse and enduring role since time immemorial. ” said CEO Nicolas Hieronymus. Mr. L’Oréal Group explains: “This is the driving force for us to explore new partnership opportunities and approaches. Given the richness and diversity of our collections and their ability to shed light on even the most contemporary issues, the Louvre is excited about this partnership. Laurence de Cal, President and Director of the Louvre, added: Through this playful and accessible approach to works of art, the Louvre affirms its role as a school of seeing, increasing avenues of discovery in order to share its heritage more widely and generously than ever before. ”
