Skincare innovations have put new restrictions on the official boundaries of drugstores. Today, it’s not difficult to find high-quality products with skin-loving materials on the shelves of your local drugstore. As formulations continue to evolve, the focus has shifted to products that target important aging concerns. Cetaphil’s new Hydrating & Firing line skin activation devices is a typical example. The newly launched line features a collection of facial and body care products designed to tighten and smooth skin, targeting common areas most affected by aging. Think about it – skin, décolletage, body that draws skin on the neck.
It is no secret that as our skin ages, we start to lose collagen. We are trained to care for our faces with serum and cream, but the area below is often forgotten. But the truth is that the skin on the neck and chest is sensitive and tends to show signs of aging. Cetaphil’s latest launch has been formulated to bring some of these concerns into the spotlight and target and treat the whole body. The collection includes rich body creams, lotions, and multipurpose creams for the face, neck and chest. Each formula features Cetaphil’s skin activator technology, which aims to awaken the skin cells on the surface. Skin activator technology helps stimulate surface skin cells to increase cell turnover and improve the appearance of thin lines and crepey skin. It uses two hero components. Mandelic acid gently peels off the surface, while CICA moisturizes the skin and replenishes its moisture barrier.
Dehydration and loss of elasticity are one of the main causes of thin lines and wrinkles. However, awakening surface cells has proven beneficial in improving the appearance and feel of the skin. According to Galderma, an American Swiss pharmaceutical company that helped develop skin activator technology, 88% of people said their skin didn’t look very clean two days after using skin activator supplementation and drilling cream on their neck, chest and face ($10). Moisturizing and burning cream ($17) from skin activators also showed impressive results, with 94% of users reporting stiff skin in a month.
To promote the launch, Cetaphil has worked with the actors and is in support of Mariska Hargitay, who lends her voice to the campaign and encourages a positive approach to aging. Combined with strong clinical results, this launch highlights how the skin and body care industry is evolving rapidly. As the trend of “skinization” grows, products like Cetaphil’s skin activator moisture and burning lines meet consumer demand at accessible prices.
The full line is now available for purchase in stores and online retailers at prices ranging from $10 to $20.
