Meditation often reminds us of images of a calm person sitting still in a quiet place. But will meditation become dynamic? Can writing be a form of meditation? There may be debate about that, but when our pen flows without judgment and from a place of transparency, we can experience the contemplative qualities of writing.

This meditation for writing is an exercise you can use when guiding yourself and others. It is a creative and dynamic practice that challenges our ideas of what we speculate that meditation is. Practice with attention, curiosity and openness can improve self-awareness, insight and creativity.

Use this guided writing meditation to reveal deep, self-consensual insights that live inside.

This is “Meditation for Writing | Guided Meditation Script“Guided Meditation Script:

1. What happens to you that you unconditionally love yourself, including some of your own that you tend to criticize?

2. No matter how ugly or angry you are, no matter how much you appear, imagine the love from a pet who loves everything about you or someone who loves everything about you. What does your body feel like? What colours do you have? What kind of sensation will arise?

3. What do you feel when you say you don’t feel to yourself now or today?

4. What makes you “unusual”? What do you feel when you focus on it?

5. Who gave you compassion when you don’t deserve it? What was it like receiving it in your body? What do you think you have it for an hour every day?

6. Think of the time when you were bursting with love. What did it feel to your body? Where did you feel it? It uses physical sensations, light, colours, music, smells, emotion, and emotions.

This meditation for writing is, unlike most others, a guided script. It does not guide us to sit and close our eyes. It invites us to open them up and discover what we want to emerge from our flow of consciousness. Consider the following ideas for using this guided writing meditation script:

This script has many write prompts. Adjust it to your audience’s needs and remove any questions that are likely too many or not appropriate.

Try this meditation for writing and expand your meditation practice. When you explore it, develop non-judgment, self-compassion, and the novice mind. Don’t try to make your words right. See what comes – and there is a tendency for anything that arises with attention and curiosity.
