Born in Korea and educated at Harvard University and Berkeley in Princeton, Haemin Snim received formal abbey training from Haein Abbey in Korea. He taught Asian religion for seven years at Hampshire University in Massachusetts. He is one of the most influential Zen monks in the world. His first book, The Things You You You Sthing, is translated into over 35 languages only when you slow down and sells over 4 million copies. His second book, Love for Imperfect Things, was the number one bestseller in Korea in 2016 and became available in multiple languages in 2019.
