Mind-rolling with Ragu Marx - EP. 614 - Gurdjieff's Philosophy of Consciousness with David Silver

David Silver and Rag Marx explore the life and teachings of George Gurdjieff, a Russian-born mystic and philosopher of consciousness.

On this time, Ragu and David discuss the influence of Geordiev’s teachings on counterculture in the 1960s and the evolution of the consciousness movement, first introduced by Geordiev’s teachings on the evolution of the “new and fresh” consciousness movement, discussing the search for literal miracles. We move towards the view of human Grudezief as an imperfect sleepwalker, to support ourselves and gradually awaken ourselves to self-observation, inner struggle, and false pretenses to discover false self to discover a united, authentic self.

About George Ivanovic Gurjiev

Born in the late 1800s, Gurdjieff was a philosopher, mystical and spiritual teacher, composer and movement teacher. Born in the Russian Empire, he became a citizen of the First Republic of Armenia after its founding in 1918, but in 1920 he escaped the impending Red Army invasion of Armenia and became stateless. Gurdjieff taught that people are not conscious of themselves and can live their lives in a hypnotic “sleeping” state, but can awaken to a higher state of consciousness and serve their human purpose.
