It turns out we live next to a farm. Visit horses and cows during your evening scooter walk. Sometimes they are far away from the pasture, other times they are right next to the fence. they are nice and friendly. I think we are rednecks now!

This is a morning scene that I am fascinated by. I try to drink coffee outside instead of sitting at the computer.
And this is what it looked like as wildfire smoke reached Virginia for two days.
That same day, we were scheduled to celebrate Sean’s birthday at Blenheim Vineyards, but air quality concerns forced us to move the party indoors. We had a great time with the Amalfi Coast theme!! Everyone came dressed in blue and white.
No amount of gum graft surgery will prevent you from eating this cake. It was a Wegmans vanilla cake with lemon filling, and our wedding planner Savannah decorated it beautifully with fresh lemons and hydrangeas!

After the winery we went to Whiskey Jar for dinner where I had this whole blackened catfish with delicious grits underneath. It was my first real meal since Wednesday and I was hungry.
