There were many times when I sat down to see the HBO lineup on Sunday nights and thought, “Damn, I want the character hair.” I screenshot Carrie Bradshaw’s highlights and did so and presented them to the stylists. I respect Kate’s ability to serve Bob with a white lotus in fear and respect. But I crave the bangs on the curtain and didn’t expect to cleverly put the waves on Dina, the character of Isabela Merced in the apocalyptic series The Last of Us.
The show is based on a video game franchise of the same name and is approaching the end of the first season. This takes place five years after the event decades after the virus fungus transformed much of humanity into zombie-like creatures. The show’s heroes join Jackson’s peace-secured settlement, but as they are known, Wyoming poses a great threat to the town and its people, including the main characters Ellie and love interest who leave this civilization for a cross-country journey (I’m not spoiled for someone who somehow doesn’t know yet).
Roaming anywhere not Jackson, infected people are hungry for human flesh, and most of them are very fast. And don’t let the so-called “runner” or “clicker” rip from limbs and turn yourself into a zombie. The characters face countless obstacles in our last, endless, dangerous, hopeless landscape, but imperfect hair, strangely, isn’t one of them. In this hellish landscape, Dina somehow appears to have found a Dyson airwrap and an electric socket that miraculously works.
Isabella is skilled as Dina
