These protein bagel bites are simple high protein bread bowls with protein flavor and taste like traditional bagels without carbohydrates!
I love bagels like keto bagels, but I wanted to create a simple, quicker, and easier version with as few ingredients as possible.
The entire recipe is right below, but don’t miss out on all the more tips, including process shots, ingredient swaps, tips and more!

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Arrange large baking sheets with parchment paper. Light oil paper with cooking oil spray. Please put it aside.
In a mixing bowl, stir until the almond flour and Greek yogurt form a thick, sticky dough. If it’s too dry and easily crunchy, add a little more yogurt. If there’s too much yogurt, add almond flour.
Divide the dough into 16 equal parts, roll between lightly greased hands, then roll into a bowl filled with bagel seasoning to coat the bite.
Place the coated bites on the prepared baking sheet and leave 1 inch of space between them so that they do not touch each other. They don’t enlarge in the oven.
Bake the bite at 350°F (180°C) for 20-24 minutes, until the edges are golden and crisp.
Chill on a baking sheet for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Note 2: For the best wet texture, use full fat plain Greek yogurt. My Greek yogurt has 15 grams of protein per cup, which increases the protein per serving even more.
Note 3: There is no salt in the dough. You need to add bagel seasonings and add some garlic, onion and salt flavors. If you don’t have bagel seasonings, add 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, and 1/2 tsp salt to the dough. Bind with a mixture of white and black sesame seeds.
Storage: Store in an airtight Ziploc bag in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 1 month, then thaw in the fridge the day before.
Serving: Serve plains with delicious high protein bags or avocado cottage cheese. Or cheese.

Ingredients and alternatives
To make these bagel bites, you only need three ingredients. Here’s how to select and replace them:

Almond Flour – This forms the base of bagel bites and offers a low-carb alternative to traditional flour. Ultra Fine Almond Flour ensures a smooth texture, while almond meals provide a smoother, dry chew. Cashew or sesame flour is also a good option for nut-free variations. Greek Yogurt – This adds moisture and protein to the bagel bite. Fully fat Greek yogurt brings the best wet texture. Dairy-free Greek yogurt acts as a dairy-free alternative, but due to its high moisture content, it can have less crispy edges. All Bagel Condiments – This offers a signature bagel flavor, such as garlic, onions, and salt. 1If not available, you can use a mix of garlic powder, onion powder, salt, or sesame seeds.
How to make protein bagel bites

Roll 16 dough balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment.

Roll the bite of the bagel with bagel seasoning and coat it.

Burn bites at 350°F (180°C) for 20-24 minutes.
Carine’s tips
Let me share some tips for the perfect bagel bite.
Full Fat Yogurt Advantage – Choose full fat Greek yogurt for a moist center and a crisp look. Enrich the flavor – try adding spices like smoked paprika, turmeric, cumin and other to the dough, and adding different bagel flavors. Air Fries for Speed - Turn the Air Fry Bagel Bites at 325°F (160°C) for 18 minutes for a fast cooking option. The importance of dough consistency – Adjust the dough consistency by adding yogurt if it’s too dry. Even coatings are important. To ensure a uniform coating, roll the dough bites thoroughly with bagel seasonings. Crispy spacing – keeps the top plate bites away from touching, ensuring baking and even crisp edges. Chill before serving – set the bagel bite properly on a baking sheet for 30 minutes. Storage – Store bites in a fridge airtight bag for up to 4 days or freeze them for up to 1 month. Offer suggestions – Bagel bite plain as a high protein snack or toppings such as cottage cheese, avocado, cheese and more. Ultra Fine Flour – Uses ultra-sleek almond flour for a smooth texture.
