Protein s’mores brownies

Protein s'mores brownies

I gave my summer twist to Fit Foodie’s Protein Brownies, but obviously had to include marshmallows, graham crackers and Hershey chocolate. Here are some of these Yummmmy Protein S’mores Brownies. S’mores toppings make you feel like you’re on a campfire and I’m not mad about it.

S’mores is one of my favorite summer flavors! If I’m not making these peanut butter crunch smo cookies or these frozen proteins s’mores, you must be making these s’mores brownies.

It’s a fun recipe for involving kids: Gas helps you add s’mores toppings to these brownies before baking.

Pro Tips for S’mores Brownies

Use of metal baking dishes: Do not use ceramic or glass baking dishes if possible! Metal baking dishes provide a more even heat distribution and remain in more evenly baked brownies.

Use whey protein powder: I prefer the taste of Terra’s whey chocolate protein powder over other whey protein powders, but whey protein powder works. I haven’t tested this recipe with plant-based protein powders.

Finally, add Minimallow. I love adding mini marshmallows right after the brownies come out of the oven. They melt and become woooey and look tasty when the brownies get cool.

Allow these s’mores brownies to cool completely, then slice them into squares and store in an airtight container for 3-5 days. If you don’t let your brownies cool before storing them, they’ll get soaked.

Chill the brownies and then store them in the freezer in a safe container. Freeze for up to 3 months.

Preheat the oven to 350°C, arrange 9 x 9 inch bread with parchment and spray with cooking spray.

Add brown sugar, melted butter, eggs and vanilla to a mixing bowl and whisk to mix.

Next, add the protein powder, flour and salt to the bowl and mix. Please put it aside.

Add two chocolate chips to a small bowl, microwave at 20-second intervals, stir until the chocolate chips melt, and repeat. Please put it aside.

Add the melted chocolate chips to the batter and mix until all the ingredients are combined.

Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish. It divides mini marshmallows, chocolate chips and graham crackers.

Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, cover with foil and bake for another 10 minutes.

Once the brownies are finished baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for 10 minutes before moving them out of the baking dish.

It is recommended to use a metal baking dish instead of a ceramic dish. The batter is very thick, but I would not recommend thinning it. Protein Powder: I tested this recipe only with Terra’s Whey Chocolate Protein Powder. I’m sure other whey protein powders will work, but I didn’t test this with plant-based protein powders. Pro tips! Once the marshmallows come out of the oven, add more marshmallows and melt a little at the top.
