Recent Life: Pumpkin Beer + Survivor!
Happy Survivor and Pumpkin Beer Season! And happy October!
Does anyone watch Survivor Season 49? Obviously that’s a must! The best show ever. Hilary, Ellen and I met for the premiere and enjoyed some punking while we watched.
Wedding season
Happy anniversary Thomas <3
Our friends Seth and Missi got married a few weeks ago at Tiffin Farm in Free Union. It was a gorgeous day to get married under the September sky!
Their cats, Desi, Penny and Honey were also present.
Sean and I were two ACAC peepers in attendance. In response, we represented the dance floor!
Congratulations to Lovebird!
I went home with Missi’s popcorn recipe!
Meanwhile, on the home front, magenta Halloween costumes are coming along well.
And I realized that all of Birch’s favorite foods are orange! “Snack plate”.
The boys visited Richmond’s Top Golf with Thomas. We gave Magen a Christmas gift certificate and finally decided to travel!
Mexican brunch
We went to brunch in Mexico right after Independence Day. There was a piñata filled with margaritas, lots of food and traditional candies!
Our host made a chirakir which was very good! I loved homemade tortillas and rich moles on top. We also had beans, homemade guacamole, and two types of meat!
Cass eats real food
Pharmacy Café
The Mexican theme continued next week with a visit to Pharmacy Café, known for its food trucks and Mexican fusion food. I love their mushroom quesadillas!
Spinach and sun-dried tomato meatballs
I made versions of these meatballs for dinner overnight. Stupid I assumed that magen would eat them. It’s not the spinach he complained about, but the sun-dried tomatoes! Next time I’ll create a more basic version.
Taco Night
Chicken sausage soup
I made a version of this soup.
Cook the salmon once
And finally we had the socky salmon we had for both dinner and lunch salads.
And finally – bedtime! I love this book, which will become a Netflix movie!
