From Benlector’s concerts to visiting Southern Living Idea House to clean up the juices, I’ve been enjoying a bit lately!
Summer isn’t over yet!
Hey!!! Is everyone back to school? ! My boy is in his third week so they settled down nicely. We love this time of year when we spend Sundays in the pool and they are at school on Monday mornings! Here are some highlights from the past few weeks.
Benlector concert in DC
A group of friends and I went to DC for the evening to go to a Benlector concert! I think this was my 6th or 7th show. He’s the best! Ben has such a great stage presence and is very interesting – he talks a lot with the audience!
We stayed at Civic M Hotel. This was within walking distance to the head and the national anthem, and inside was very cool. My room had a cozy built-in bed and a coloured shower! It was also reasonably priced for the DC area. I will stay there completely again.
The show was the national anthem and we (because it was pretty hot) came back that night.
We had dinner at the Italian officina. We loved it – especially my pasta plate with Blanco Mezcal Negroni and eggplant.
The show was great – Ben played all the hits!
After that we went to the S’mores truck! Perfect post show snack.
The next morning we walked to the torchk and had the best avocado toast and blended coffee!
We then hit the subway and headed home!
Clean Juice Cville
I was invited to try Clean Juice Cville, an organic juice and bowl shop in front of Costco. Their menu was fantastic with lots of juices, smoothies, protein smoothies, bowls and toast. They are USDA certified organic restaurants and the menu was impressively large.
We tried the ocean waves, a seasonal drink with a swirl of coconut cream!
Almond milk, banana, pineapple, blue spirulina, vanilla, chia seeds, honey, coconut cream smear
Plus, sourdough avocado toast.

You can report Outfoxed as a great game!! Burch and I loved it. And I love it to be us against foxes so no one will cry when they lose

Southern Living Idea House in Keswick
This year, the Southern Living Idea House is located just outside Cville! I went with my friend Ivy Haynes. Ivy Haynes is a real estate agent at Nest Realty (she’s amazing if you’re local and need it!!).
The home is gorgeous and listed for $6.5 million! geeeez! Find it in Southern Living Magazine this month. Here are some of the highlights.

The best Cville party
And finally, Ivy finished second for the best real estate agent! She invited me to the best Cville party despite not being able to attend. The theme was disco in the 70s, so I went as Flower Power Girl. It was a fun time!
