Serena Gomez is 33 today.

Although Selena Gomez often thinks of as the founder of one of today’s proven beauty brands, it’s hard to forget the amount of life an actress, singer, and former Disney child lived in for 30 years of her life. From Waverly’s Wizard Day to only the murder of the building, and now in his wife and CEO days, Serena Gomez can really do it all and it looks like she’s doing it. To celebrate the 33rd birthday of the resident beauty guru and Taco Bell lover, we rounded up some of her best beauty advice over the years.

Good mani cannot be negotiated

Of all the celebrities who have provided us with nail polish inspiration over the years, Gomez has been the most consistent yet ready-to-use nail icon of the past few years. So if there is anything you can take from the founder of busy bee beauty, it means you won’t be overwhelmed for a good manicure. Whether you choose one of her classic soap nail look, deep merlot, or one of her more vibrant beach-like styles, Gomez is an advocate for nail care as self-care and we’re sure having a best friend like Tom Bachik won’t hurt.

Don’t be afraid to switch your ‘

I will never forget Gomez’s iconic 2010s video talking about her blue streak for a teen vogue party, but seriously, Gomez’s willingness to try something new, especially her hair, was part of her personal beauty brand from Jump. Whether she’s showing off her natural texture on Instagram or swapping her long strands for a chic, professional bob, Gomez’ hair versatility is something we can all learn.

Spend your skincare

While Gomez’s own brand, Learvia, is known for its relatively affordable price range and effective makeup and body products, Gomez’s Tiktok account has given her insight into the brands she personally relies on for skincare. In 2023 Tiktok, Gomez was adored by showing off her unconventional but luxurious skincare routine. She also opts for budget-friendly options like Garnier’s Micelle Water ($12), but several other high-end products have created Tiktok skincare routines like La Mer’s Update Oil ($295) and Tatcha’s The Water Cream ($72).

There’s nothing wrong with Botox!

Gomez is no stranger to online hatred. She usually keeps going with her, ignoring her hatred, but she’s not afraid of healthy applause here and there. Through cocky internet comments, we first got a glimpse of her cosmetic treatment plan. Gomez made her Instagram comment to shut down the trolls claiming she needed to respond, “Get rid of the filler/implant on her cheeks. You’re messing with your brain.”

Don’t take yourself or your makeup seriously

Ever since Gomez was released in relation to his current fiancee, Benny Blanco, we have come to see the stupid, hilarious, beloved side of the singer/actress. Luckily, one of the pair’s most notable internet appearances had something to do with beauty, as Gomez went to Tiktok to try to put on the swing. Blanco may not be an expert MUA, but the message was clear. Beauty is fun, so do it!
