Skincare and subtle makeup products that men love to use - including your favorite celebrities

Even if we’re just talking about colored sunscreen, more men wear makeup than you think. If not, you should at least use skincare. Most men are looking for subtlety when it comes to appearances. Therefore, we recommend that you still make your favorite stars look natural on the red carpet or photo shoot.

“As a rule, it’s not a lot of my male clients. They want to look fresh in general, but don’t want makeup,” says client Victoria Bond, who also includes Andrew Scott and Paul Mezcal. “So it’s a lot of skin preparation and cleverly placed makeup.”

Celebrity groomer Erika Whelan says that actors and celebrities who work in the press want to be like them and generally don’t want to wear makeup. “They sit in makeup chairs for the characters and wear make-up for photo shoots, but for the press, they want to be like themselves,” she explains. “As a male groomer, I have to be strategic with the makeup products I use to look at my makeup.”

Experts have shared products that clients love, from subtle makeup products to skincare essentials. Peruse the list and which products fill in the gaps in your routine and get the same appearance as the stars.
