Celebrity groomer Erika Whelan says that actors and celebrities who work in the press want to be like them and generally don’t want to wear makeup. “They sit in makeup chairs for the characters and wear make-up for photo shoots, but for the press, they want to be like themselves,” she explains. “As a male groomer, I have to be strategic with the makeup products I use to look at my makeup.”
