Sloppy Joe Meatballs

Turn my classic sloppy jaws into juicy, tasty meatballs! Simmered in my tangy homemade sauce, these sloppy Joe Meatballs are perfect for using toothpicks in bowls or sandwiches for dinner, or as a match day appetizer. Can’t wait for you to try this recipe in your own kitchen ❤️❤️.

High in protein – to be precise, meatballs alone are 27g of protein per serving!

Very easy to make – there’s no need to heat the oven. This recipe is made entirely on the stove.

It tastes like a sloppy Jaw. If you’re a sloppy joe lover like me, I also have the classic sloppy joe recipes and these sloppy joe bowls that are in my normal rotation at my home.

Ground beef: Although we prefer to use ground beef for sloppy Jaws, this recipe also works with chicken, turkey and pork. Chicken and turkey are leaner than ground beef, and tend to require a little extra oil in the meatball mixture. Pork tends to be a little fat so you may need to add some breadcrumbs. Italian Bread Brush: This is a lovely and crispy meatball on the outside, adding a rich flavour from the Italian seasonings. Parmesan cheese: Put Parmesan cheese in the meatball mixture exactly. Not only does it add a rich and salty flavor, it also helps the meatballs retain moisture (aka juicy and non-drying meatballs!). Tomato sauce: A base of homemade sloppy jaw sauce! Please do not replace this, please, thank you. Light Brown Sugar: Every sloppy Jaw needs a little sweetness. Brown Sugar does just that!
