Happy Monday GPODERS!
I’m starting a week with Ronda Morin in West Grove, Pennsylvania. Ronda shares a gorgeous garden that is almost every season (check out previous submissions here: guests in Ronda’s Pennsylvania Garden, Ronda’s Garden, Safe Garden Wedding, Ronda’s Hellebore Roundup, Ronda’s Garden). But I think her palette of flowers in cool tones of spring and bright green leaves is a particularly highlight. The following photo shows some of her recent flowers.
Ronda clematis is only just beginning to bloom, but is already covered with large buds. The focus of Ronda’s garden, a gorgeous stream with waterfalls, creates a relaxing background.
Rhonda has several beautiful bulbs in its garden, but these “Erlicheer” daffodils (Narcissus ‘Erlicheer’, Zones 5–9) are the best. Creamy white clusters, double flowers on each stem create a different texture than most daffodils.
When the sun in the sky is lowered, the garden at this boundary shines. The large chunks of blue camasias are perfectly combined with the pink flower-covered shrub (probably lilac?) in the back.
Rhonda skillfully placed this Korean Viburn (Zones 5-9) under the window, allowing you to enjoy the sweet, sweet scent indoors.
Finally, a better view of Ronda’s amazing water features. Unplanted crying of bright pink creeping phlox (Phlox suburata, Zones 3–9) places this display in pop colors. The elegant crane statue in the lower right corner is a perfect art accent.
Thank you Rhonda, for sharing this sensational sampling of spring flowers! As always, your garden is shining this season.
