There are many decisions to make, starting with your wedding. Something as small as a napkin, and more of a trivial as a venue. Your nail polish is featured largely in your photos and where everyone looks when your partner places the ring on their finger, so you need to make sure your nails are squared. In preparation for my upcoming wedding, I voted for a bunch of brides on what nail colour they had on their big day to get some load of inspiration. Below are my findings, including some classic shades and trendy options.
pink
The pink shade was the most commonly reported bridal manicure shade. When it turned pink, the bride was very particular about the exact shade she wore, which was very helpful. One bride shared useful tips she got from experts.
The pink polish these women love in their wedding nail polish are on barely blushing social media powder ($12), Apres Light & Shadow…, Chill ($14), and OPI Bubble Bath ($12), and the two coats the bride said gave them a French manicure viv that looked very neutral and natural. Some people have become smarter with polish, while others have mixed and matched different shades to show off their custom look. One layered OPI baby makes a vow with love ($12). One of the brides who went with milky white for their wedding day looks back and hopes to have a more neutral pink.
white
Naturally, many brides went with white to fit their dresses. I told the bride they chose the glowing and milky white and milky white white, off-white. Those who recall using Opi Kyoto Pearl ($12) have a sparkling pearlescent finish.
French
Can’t you choose pink or white? Would you like to try both? A handful of brides reported seeing French manicure for their big day. The two chose the French Ombre. This is currently trending and very trendy as the soft serve nail look cycles. Another went to a pinkish white base colour with a silvery glow and a pale French chip on top.
