Share a summary of a book I’ve read recently and whether it’s worth adding it to your collection.
Hiiii’s friend! how are you? I hope you’ve had a wonderful morning for now! We do our usual homeschool around here. I’m looking forward to the F45 class this afternoon.
In today’s post I wanted to chat about the book and share some of the books I’ve read (and stopped) recently. TBH, I haven’t been much devoted to reading lately. I’ve been working hard on the IHP Level 3 module – I’m about to finish with the Equilife Conference in October, but honestly, I’m scrolling more at night. The days are very wild and it’s amazing how they’re rounded up with weighted blankets and scrolls, but the reality is that reading feels good and actually does something positive to my brain. I downloaded about 5 new books in the hopes of sucking me completely, so I can go back like a bookworm.
For now, here is a compilation of the latest books! I’d like to hear what you’ve recently added to your collection and couldn’t put it.
The books I’ve read recently
One Golden Summer – DNF
I had great hopes for this and I read and loved other books by this author. They are usually fast, refreshing, decent writing and an incredible storyline. This was flat. I kept reading hoping it would get better and I was just throwing it. I finally called it to finish at 70%. Hmm. I was pretty annoyed by it, but the reality is that reading time is sacred and I don’t intend to waste time reading books that I don’t love. 4/10
From Amazon:
Good things happen in the lake. That’s what Alice’s grandmother says, and that’s true. Alice spent one summer in the cottage with Nan when she was 17 years old. She took the picture.
Now Alice lives behind the lens. As a photographer, she is the most comfortable on the sidelines, making others shine. But recently, she’s been doing something more itchy. When Nan fell over her hips and broke, Alice came up with both plans. But as soon as they settle down, their peace is confused by the familiar roaring yellow boats and the man driving it.
Charlie Florek was 19 when Alice took the photo from afar. Now he’s all grown up. The shameless cheating man laughed at Nan and managed to make Alice 17 for a long time. The days and warm nights decorated with the lake with Charlie are Alice’s soul balm, but as she looks up and sees his sharp green gaze directly at her, she begins to worry about her mind.
Alice watches people, so that’s why she’s so good at her job, but she’s never met anyone who’s back and watched her right away.
Manifesto: 7 steps to live your best life
Since the age of secret hype, I have been a great believer in manifestation. I really believe it will work and I believe it will happen before you have a goal and a future. (A million years ago, I was working at Lululemon, and they had us do a day of visualization exercises and it ended 10 years from that point on. Almost everything I showed up at that point came true.
An interesting question is the distinction between manifestation and prayer, especially when it can be used together, in religious cases. For me, I use them completely differently. I usually use it as a time of reflection and gratitude instead of praying for what I want to happen. I use the manifest to imagine the future and actions needed to reach that point.
The author breaks down manifestation techniques and strategies, as well as short journaling exercises. Many of them were reviews for me, but I love reminders and the book was concise and impactful. 9/10

I have what she has
In addition to the Twilight series, Chelsea Handler returned to reading “For Fun” Post College, and her first book made me cry with laughter. (It’s all inappropriate and probably not a PC from what I remember, so if you’re someone who easily offended me, I’d leave.) When I saw her having a new book, I downloaded it immediately, and it didn’t disappoint me. I highly recommend the audio version so you can hear the story in her voice. In addition to being totally hilarious, the book was incredibly inspirational and heartwarming. 8/10
From Amazon:
There’s a woman I want to be, Chelsea Handler thought of like a child. She’ll be strong and confident. She illuminates the room, spreading the light, making others feel good. She will make a living for herself. She will become a survivor.
At age 10, Chelsea opened a lemonade stand and realized that if the drinks were spiked he would make more money. There she added vodka to her recipes, used her income to upgrade to top-notch on family vacations, and raised her parents and siblings as coaches. She moved to Los Angeles and was fired from her temporary job when she admitted she didn’t know how to forward a phone call. She played pickle balls with the American dynasty magician. She has cut off the governor. She shared psychedelics with a Spanish stranger. When she accidentally had dinner with Woody Allen, she was not planning on leaving the table without asking him a very personal pointy question. She went to television nationwide and talked about having three people. She was never a person to hold back.
But this adventure and absurd life is only part of her story. Chelsea knows what it’s really going to show up for her family. She discovered how to spend time with herself, how to meditate, how to open up to love, and how to end her relationship with dignity. She is a sister to many females who rely on her.
Surprisingly vulnerable and always outrageous, Chelsea Handler captures the anti-filling, exhilarating, and enjoyable life she has built.
OK, Friend: What do you have in Kindle now? Are there any books you’ve been devouring lately and recommend to everyone you know? Can I put it on that list? Thank you to Youuuuu
