Not everyone wants to remove their hair. Naturally, some people don’t have much to choose from in the first place, but if you want to remove excess hair, you can know where to start by removing the skin.

There are many tested ways to remove body hair. Shaving, waxing, hair removal cream, lasers… the list goes on. If you choose to shave, do it properly with a shaving cream to protect delicate skin and always use a fresh razor.

When your skin is at its softest, try shaving on the edge of a bath or shower to help minimize the cut. The skin is the most sensitive after shaving, so don’t forget to try and use bath oil or shower gel that is free of parabens, sulfates, or artificial flavors.

If you’re waxing yourself at home, try to make sure you’re ready to use Wax Strip, as Veet is good at whipping even the shortest hair. Acorelle’s ready-to-use body strips are 100% natural and certified organic and hypoallergenic. These strips are easy to use and very effective.

However, the gold standard for hair removal is laser treatment, which involves light beams targeting the hairs of the follicles, which die and fall off. You will need to do sessions for at least 6-8 sessions for 6-8 weeks, but once it’s done, you’ll notice that you have absolutely no hair at all. Note that depending on the hair growth, you may still need some top-ups. It is important to stay outside the sun while you are undergoing treatment. Think of this as you lift your head up for the next summer. Try out Harley Medical Group.

My top tips for laser preparation

If you decide to have laser hair removal at a salon, we recommend starting the process in the winter as you will need to go back to some treatments. Importantly, exposure to sunlight during laser treatments can also damage your skin, so if you’re thinking about lasers, you can book a treatment this fall and get your hair free by next summer.
