Waterless Skin Care
You may see “water-free skincare” being thrown in more frequently these days. The brand I’ve used for almost a year is one of the main waterless skincare companies and I share everything about Waterless in this post, along with why I love the Olivea line.
What is Waterless Skin Care?
Waterless skin care refers to beauty products that are formulated as the main ingredient without water. These products are often listed as aqua on labels instead of water), oil, butter, plant extracts, or waxes as a base.
If the product is sold as a solid like a bar (think shampoo bar), the other products (cleansers, serum, tones, moisturizers) are liquid. In both cases, the ingredient list does not have a minimum of water.
Why is there water-free skincare service running?
Concentrated formula – Without water, the product is more powerful and can lead to better results. Longer shelf life – Water can promote bacterial growth, which means fewer preservatives are required. Sustainability – Reduced water, reduced volume = Water consumption and packaging waste. Travel-Friendly – Solid products such as balms and sticks are TSA approved and easy to pack.
Of course, the water isn’t bad. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with using water in the skincare layer. That being said, when water is in the formula, you pay for its existence.
Is Oliva waterless skincare?

We have also replaced the typical refined oils found in typical products with bioactive albequina oil. It resembles skin lipids and contributes to its rejuvenation power. Due to its biologically active nature and the high concentration of antioxidants from hydroxytyrosol found in all products, Olivea products have amazing results.
What is hydroxytyrosol?
Rich in antioxidants and polyphenols, olive leaf extracts help fight free radicals, reduce signs of aging, and promote overall skin health. It is a staple ingredient in many Olivea products due to its powerful anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
