Early Black Friday home sales
Bissell TurboClean Carpet Cleaner – Here’s the story about this vacuum cleaner. Shortly after moving into a brand new house (brand new white carpet), I found a bunch of dirty footprints embedded in the fibers. A professional carpet cleaner came and steamed the carpet and sprayed two coats of stain remover to remove the stain, but they still couldn’t remove it. With nothing to lose, I bought this carpet cleaner (with Bissell Pro Deep Clean Formula) and it removed all the dirt. At 1/3 the price of a professional vacuum cleaner! It has saved our carpet several times since then.
Bissell Little Green Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner – Thanks to this portable carpet cleaner, you can stay comfortable with the kids around the house. If you have rugs, curtains, or upholstered furniture in your home, spot cleaning is a must. Please read the review. They are impressive!
Flexispot Adjustable Standing Desk – I discovered Flexispot last year while exploring ways to get up from my computer more often. I decided to go with an L-shaped standing desk (I like this one, similar to this one but with a bamboo top), and this model works well for a simple home office setup.
FEBU Swedish Dish Towels – I use these super absorbent sponge dish towels all over the house and love how effective and eco-friendly they are. They come in lots of fun prints and colors, but I personally prefer black because it doesn’t show dirt. If you prefer a solid color, we also use Super Scandi brand gray. Both of these dish towels were cut into smaller pieces for different uses. It’s very versatile.
Wooden Storage Lid for Mason Jars – I prefer integrated lids when using mason jars for storage. Your entire pantry will look beautiful and organized with this acacia wood lid (with airtight seal).
S’well Stainless Steel Salad Bowl – This is my new favorite food container. I bought it a few months ago (not on sale, damn it) and it’s worth it even at list price. I like to pack up salads and take them home, and this bowl has a large compartment at the bottom for salad greens and a smaller compartment at the top for toppings and dressings.
Panasonic Flash Xpress Toaster Oven – 15 years ago, my parents gave me this toaster oven as a housewarming gift. Since I moved, I’ve tried some more upscale ones, but I keep coming back to this one. I like its simplicity. There are no unnecessary features or extra features that will break. It’s small, fits perfectly on your counter, and has everything you need.
Anova Sous Vide – We were gifted this sous vide cooker a few years ago and love it for cooking fish, steaks, pork, and other meats to just the right degree of doneness without the risk of overcooking.

Aura Digital Photo Frame – We purchased Aura frames for my parents, in-laws, and ourselves a few years ago. It’s a great way to share family photos (new photos are uploaded through the Aura app and appear in every frame). Also, the screen resolution is great. (My parents had cheaper frames from another brand, and the difference in clarity and resolution was night and day.) This is the perfect gift for grandparents.
DryGuy Shoe Dryer – This compact unit quickly dries your boots and shoes, preventing odor and moisture build-up. It’s large enough to stash in your closet or entryway, and folds up neatly when not in use.
DryGuy Boot and Glove Drying Rack – Do you love playing outside? This freestanding or wall-mounted rack can dry your boots, shoes, and glove combination using radiant heating. (If your whole family likes to play in the rain or snow, you might want this larger wall unit. Use heating or ambient air to store up to 6 pairs of shoes, gloves, and helmets. , jackets, and waders. I own one. Buy the same model and install it in your garage. Definitely a worthwhile investment for any outdoorsy family.
Other deals I like
Montem Trekking Poles – I tried this brand because I was looking for new hiking poles. Totally impressed with its construction and quality, especially for the price. (I also previously owned Black Diamond poles.) They’re durable, lightweight, and come in a variety of fun colors. I bought the purple one! (Montem also makes these very affordable carbon fiber poles.)
Set of 2 Adjustable Zero Gravity Lounge Chairs – I bought this set a few years ago during Black Friday. It has become our favorite camping chair. Great value for 2 chairs.
Original XL Bog Bag – I own several large and small bog bags as well as knock-offs. It’s your go-to tote when you need to pack a lot of stuff, whether it’s to the lake, a picnic, or your kids’ lessons. And so on. These bags are incredibly versatile and practical, and I love that they can be wiped and hosed down. This Black Friday sale is insane when you know the regular sale prices. (Small bogs are also on sale.)
HotHands Body Warmer – I use the smaller thermal pack for my gloves and boots, but I really like this larger pack to put inside a vest or jacket. Very useful for camping (especially for keeping sleeping bags warm), winter walks for the dog, snow sports, stadium events, and emergencies. We also make a lap warmer version!
Welly Bandage Refill Pack – These are my kids’ favorite bandages and I love them too. We buy new refill packs every year to replenish our first aid kit. This pack contains 200 bandages in various designs and sizes.
