Hello everyone, I hope all is well.
I recently finished using a ton of hair care products, so I’m behind on reading all the reviews. More reviews to come, so watch this space.
So Camille Rose (CR) Curade Moisture Butter wasn’t really on my list of products I wanted to try, but since I finished using Keracare Buttercream and CR was on sale (lol), I decided to buy it instead of the As I Am Double Cream I was originally considering. Interestingly, I tried three other CR products and none of them blew me away. But a sale was a sale, and it was cheaper than As I am.
I use butter several times a week, maybe every few days, to keep my hair moisturized. I have 4c medium to high porosity fine hair that was recently colored. Butter can be used in several ways to detangle, style, and moisturize hair, but I only use it for later purposes.
I really like this hair cream. For my fine hair, it doesn’t really feel heavy or greasy when I use this. Depending on how much you use it, you might experience some curl back on your blow-dried hair, but it’s not a big issue for me since I usually do flat twists afterwards. It is also very effective in softening hair. It smells amazing, very similar to vanilla birthday cake. It’s a rich, creamy butter that easily blends into your hair, but requires a little more massage to fully penetrate. No problem with flakes. I used it alone, but I also like to layer it with a little hair oil afterwards.
verdict
I was looking for a buttercream similar to Keracare that was easy to use throughout the week to keep my hair moisturized. I really like this. It leaves your hair soft, moisturized and smells amazing. It lasts quite a while, so I think I started using it around last year and just finished using it now. I’m currently using the Keracare Oil moisturizer, so I’ll report back.
CR is available from Superdrug, Boots, ASOS, or LF.
be careful
