Creamy cottage cheese pasta salad

This creamy cottage cheese pasta salad packs bright, lemony flavors thanks to the blended cottage cheese lemon poppy seed dressing. I love that it is filled with protein and is perfect for summer meals. You can see that almost every backyard barbecue serves this.

My oh oh, do I love pasta salad season! And Fit Foodie has been seriously rolling it lately with a delicious, nutritious pasta salad recipe. Some of my personal favorites? This bow tie salad will let you forget about creamy hummus dressing, this pesto tolterini pasta salad, and this spectacular cottage cheese roast red pepper pasta salad.

And that’s why I’m excited to include this lemon poppy seed pasta salad recipe on the site! We have confirmed that the blended cottage cheese is the base for an amazing lemon poppy seed dressing. It’s not stopping with the butter beans, so of course it’s here.

Protein Pack! Thanks to the blended cottage cheese dressing and butter beans. Bright, bright, ah, very fresh taste. Also known as a summer barbecue. It’s ready to serve in 30 minutes so you can go back outside and enjoy the summer. Very creamy and tasty 😋

Materials worthy of spotlight

Blend Cottage Cheese: This amazing lemon poppy seed dressing base! Use a 1:1 instead of Greek Greek yogurt if necessary. Mafada Pasta: A small pasta works! I love the wavy look of mafada pasta (this recipe was taken a photo!), but elbow macaroni, penne, or bow tie would be fun too! Balsamic Glaze: Finish your pasta salad with drizzle from balsamic glaze, which is different from balsamic vinegar. This is basically a decrease in balsamic, sweeter and syrup than balsamic vinegar. Butter Beans: These giant flat beans add an amazing buttery flavor and creamy texture to this pasta salad. They canned food at most grocery stores. Fresh Basil: For this recipe, you’ll tear whole fresh basil leaves. Rip basil brings out an amazing taste without losing too much leaves. Pine Nuts: Toasted Pine Nuts are added to the right on the edge with balsamic glaze. Yam!

How to make cottage cheese pasta salad

Making this pasta salad is easy. Just as you’re ready to serve easily in 30 minutes. All you need to do is boil the pasta in al dente, blend the ingredients from the lemon poppy seed dressing, chop the red chili peppers and onions, then assemble the pasta salad in one bowl. Top pine nuts and balsamic aze medicine and you’re ready to enjoy.

Tip! Thinen the dressing

Dressing a little too thick for your taste? Feel free to thin it out with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and then mix again until it is thin enough.

Perfect pairing

Pair this creamy pasta salad with a similar flavour profile with grilled California chicken or step up your burger game with delicious options like my hearty Mushroom Swiss Burger or Quinoa Sweet Potato Burger. The light and creamy salad is perfect for those delicious, rich flavors!

If you’re firing the grill, the juicy grilled pork chops are your go-to for my home barbecue, along with this pasta salad or anonymous baby back ribs (made in the oven or grill).

Store the remaining pasta salad

If there are any leftovers, store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Throw it with additional fresh basil and balsamic glaze to wash things off.

Serve a plate of pasta salad with spinach, cannellini beans, red onions, diced red chili peppers, pine nuts and balsamic aze medicine with a fork.

My favorite pasta salad recipe

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until pasta is cooked to al dente. Strain and rinse with cold water. Please put it aside.

Add the red chili peppers, onion and butter beans to a large salad bowl and toss them with vinegar and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Please put it aside.

Prepare the dressing. Add the blended cottage cheese, garlic, poppy seeds, lemon zest and remaining salt to a bowl and mix.

Add cooked pasta and fresh basil to a bowl along with the peppers, onions and beans. Mix and combine. Add the dressing and stir again.

Top with pine nuts and balsamic glazes.

Serve immediately or refrigerate and let the salad rest to soak up all the delicious flavors.

This recipe can contain all kinds of small pasta. If the dressing is too thick, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and mix again.
