Enhance your presence with this satisfaction meditation

Satisfaction meditation helps us let go of the anxiety we sometimes feel when we sit for practice. Remember we don’t need to do anything other than simply exist. When you are in a state of satisfaction, there is no need to change anything about this moment. We can allow ourselves to be here and showcase everything as is.

How do I access content? One way to lead to satisfaction is through gratitude. When we feel gratitude in this breath, in this body, in this moment, we can get a glimpse into the truth that everything is in perfection in this moment. We may not like it, but we are exactly where we need to learn lessons that will help us grow.

Some traditions call satisfaction the state of supreme happiness. When it comes to content, we long for nothing and we push away nothing. This brings about perfect existence and gives you deep insight into the true nature of this moment.

Enjoy a comfortable seating in a quiet place where you can’t be distracted
Sit tall, keep your chin level and release your shoulders

It softens the stomach and softens the thighs
Put your hips on your seat
Close your eyes or stare gently at the ground in front of you

Keeping my mouth closed, my chin relaxed,
I’ll come in and out through my nose

Find a patient, gentle, and stable breath
Do it every time you breathe, and do it every time you breathe

Focusing on the breath,
Make the corners of your mouth a little smile

And creates a deep sense of satisfaction for breathing
Inhale with a loving consciousness
We are grateful for each life-giving inhalation and each precious breath exhaled
