Hey guys, if double cleansing is on your list this summer then this article is for you! I finally finished using Estée Lauder’s Cleansing Balm and wanted to share my thoughts about it.
I love Estée Lauder so I was very excited to try something new (to me) from this brand. I received the cleansing balm for free as a gift when I purchased it last year (or the year before), but I started using it in January of this year and only finished using it last month.

A balm cleanser that turns into oil when heated and into milk when emulsified. The balm is buttery soft and very easy to massage into the skin. The changing oil is slippery and good for breaking down makeup, SPF, and dirt. It also easily becomes milky with water and is easily washed off at the end, so it doesn’t leave any residue on your skin.
I used to use this as the first cleanse in my routine to remove layers of makeup and sunscreen. That works fine. I think it’s a little sensitive to waterproof mascara and eyelash glue. Compared to other cleansing balms, I think you need to apply a little more around the eyes and massage it a little longer, but the difference isn’t so big that I don’t think Estée Lauder’s balms are better. I found that a little bit of this product works great, and if I use it too often, it leaves a bit of a residue when I wash it off.
verdict
This is a nice balm cleanser. This is the first balm cleanser I’ve used in a while after switching to oil cleansers. Is this the best balm cleanser I’ve used? No, I’ve also used better cleansers from Estée Lauder.
I love Estée Lauder’s ANR serum, but in my opinion K-Beauty is much more affordable and I wouldn’t spend £46 on this cleanser, especially when you can get something a little better.
It was fun to use, and I was very happy to get it for free, but I won’t be purchasing this.
