Free 5-Day Meditation and Writing Challenge

Free 5-Day Meditation and Writing Challenge

Hello friends!Today I’m excited to share with you a powerful 5-day meditation and writing challenge from Tiny Buddha contributor (and this month’s site sponsor), Nadia Colburn.

As founder of the online creative writing school Align Your Story, Nadia is also a poet, memoirist, and yoga teacher with a gift for helping people access their creative voice on a deeper level, and that’s exactly what she did with this challenge.

Each day’s 15-minute recording will guide you through a short meditation, share an inspiring poem, and lead you through a quick writing exercise inspired by the day’s piece.

When she first told me about this challenge, I was intrigued because I knew how powerful it could be to combine meditation with a creative practice, especially writing.

Taking a few minutes to calm your mind and create mental space can give you the clarity that leads to deeper insight into yourself, what you need, and what you want to do in the future.

That is exactly what I got out of this experience.

I was inspired by the ideas the prompts elicited and excited to notice common themes in my writing, consistent messages that revealed what I needed most at this point in my life.

Work, parenting, and a recent move have left me feeling a bit disconnected from myself lately, and this 5-day challenge helped me reconnect with my center and access the quiet inner voice that knows what’s best for me.

You don’t have to be a professional or aspiring writer to get something out of this challenge – anyone who wants to connect more deeply with themselves and find the answers they’ve been looking for outside themselves in the silence of their own mind is welcome to join.

Some of Nadia’s past participants have found their writing easier after meditating, or that the meditation prompts have given them unexpected insights.

If you decide to give this a try, I think it will have the same effect on you.

You can access the 5-day challenge here.
