For donuts:

For vanilla cinnamon frosting:

1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or dairy-free yogurt for vegan options)
1 Scoop the True Nutrition Vanilla Pea Protein Powder
1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
12 TBSP Unsweetened Almond Milk (if needed for consistency)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract Options: Stevia or Monk Fruit Sweetener

Instructions

For donuts:

Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the donut pan with coconut oil or non-stick spray. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, mix almond flour, oat flour, true nutritional chai latte pea protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg and salt. Beat together until well mixed. Mix the wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, applesauce, almond milk, melted coconut oil and vanilla extract until smooth. Combine: Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until combined. Be careful not to overmix. Fill the donut bread: Fill each mold about 3/4 with a spoon into a batter grease doughnut bread. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the toothpick inserted into the center of the donut is clean. Let the doughnuts cool in a pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

For vanilla cinnamon frosting:

Prepare frosting: In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, true nutritional vanilla pea protein flour, cinnamon and vanilla extract. Add almond milk at a time, little by little, until you reach the desired consistency. Sweeten (optional): If you prefer a sweeter or slurping, try some drops of Stevia or McDonald’s fruit sweetener. Frost Donut: Once the donuts are fully cooled, spread a generous layer of vanilla cinnamon frosting on each side.
