High protein air fryer dinner rolls

High protein air fryer dinner rolls

There’s nothing easier than air fryer dinner rolls that use 5 ingredients and are ready in 15 minutes. Easily made in the airfryer with just a handful of ingredients (Greek yogurt is the star!), these delicious rolls are moist, fluffy, delicious, and packed with protein (8g of protein per roll!).

I always thought that making your own dinner rolls was very difficult and complicated. You seem to be particular about anything related to bread! But these air fryer dinner rolls require very few ingredients and no waiting for the dough to rise, no kneading, or any other complicated techniques. My little recipe!

To make these delicious dinner rolls, just make a simple dough and heat it in the airfryer for 10 minutes. Then everyone will call you the breadwinner.

All-purpose flour: Easy, right? I’m sure you already have this in your pantry. Baking powder: This will help the dough rise and give it a fluffy texture. Sea salt: I love using sea salt because it adds a nice flavor to the rolls. 5% Greek Yogurt: This is a key ingredient for making air fryer dinner rolls. It provides the perfect amount of moisture and creates a soft, fluffy texture that everyone loves. More #Protein 😃 I also tested this recipe with non-fat Greek yogurt and plain Skyr yogurt and they both worked. Eggs: You’ll need eggs to make the egg wash you’ll use to coat your rolls. Parchment paper: We highly recommend using parchment paper in your airfryer to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.

yes! Skye yogurt is also effective. Our favorite brand is Painterland Sisters.

How to customize air fryer rolls

It’s easy to add a little pizzazz to these basic dinner rolls. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Garlic and herbs: Add chopped garlic, dried herbs such as rosemary or thyme, and Parmesan cheese to the dough before baking. Cinnamon Sugar: Mix cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over the rolls before baking for a sweet twist. Everything Bagels: Sprinkle Everything Bagel Seasoning over the dough before baking to add a savory flavor. Cheese flavor: Add shredded cheese to the dough before baking to create a gooey, cheesy center. Honey Butter: Whip honey butter and brush it on the bread rolls that come out of the airfryer for a delicious result.

Tips for the fluffiest and tastiest rolls

These air fryer rolls are best eaten fresh, but if you have leftovers, they can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

To reheat the rolls, return them to the air fryer for 2-3 minutes or until warmed through.

Delicious main dish to pair with air fryer dinner rolls

Whether you plan on slathering them with gravy or as a side to a hearty meal, these dinner rolls are perfect. Here are some of our favorite mains that are perfect to pair with.

Preheat air fryer to 325°F.

Combine flour, baking powder, and sea salt in a bowl and whisk to combine. Add yogurt and stir with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula.

Place the dough on a floured work surface and shape into a ball. Divide about 1/3 cup into 9 equal parts. Roll each piece into a ball.

Line the airfryer basket with parchment paper and place the dough balls on top. It’s okay if the fabrics are touching.

Brush each ball with beaten egg. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

I tested this with both 5% and 0% plain Greek yogurt and Skya yogurt, and all options worked well. You can also use melted butter to brush the top of the rolls instead of eggs. We do not recommend using silicone liners with this recipe.
